There are SO MANY apps, websites and tools out there that you can use to rock your business. These are the ones I use on a daily and weekly basis that I love and couldn’t do my business without. When I first started I tried to not add additional cost to my business but quickly found out if I want to make this a business and get paid like a business I needed to invest in myself and get some tools to make my life easier.
For somethings in my business like making pictures or graphics I use a couple different tools. It really depends if I am on the computer or my phone. These days I am really loving Canva.com, Picmonkey.com (they have an app too), WordSwag and Layout. I know it seems like a lot but I use some for one thing and some for another. They are all pretty user friendly but let me breakdown why I love each one and what I use them for in my business.
I just started using this in February of this year. I always thought that you had to buy things but just like Picmonkey there are free things that you can use and then there are paid things. Honestly I never, NEVER use anything paid. I can always get by with just using their free templates or tools. There is a ton of help online and YouTube for how to use Canva if you aren’t familiar with putting together graphics for your business. I use Canva for every training, team graphics where I list stats, for my monthly team incentive pictures, Facebook timelines, and also all my Beyond the Berry branding.
I love PicMonkey.com on the computer! It is my favorite site to edit pictures and also to make things like bingo boards and collages. I use PicMonkey to make games for online and also to collage thank you’s with products customers have purchased. It is also easy to edit pictures. If you are on your phone PicMonkey is a great app. You can’t do as much editing as on the computer but you can add some icons, wording and you are also able to crop.
This is the best app to brighten up your pictures. There is a lot of functionality to brighten and also make the tone look better on the picture also. I use this for all my pictures I put on my business page, Instagram and the blog. I want things to look light and bright and sometimes Instagram only gives you a small option to brighten up your pictures. Cost- .99
This is an easy app to use. I use this for collaging my pictures together. Its super easy and you can also access it from inside Instagram. Cost- Free
This is my most used app. I use it for everything and every day in some capacity. I use it for my Youtube pictures, team welcome pictures, congrats pictures, recognition, Instagram, quotes, trainings, and EVERYTHING else I feel like. Totally worth the money! Cost- $3.99
So where do I and how to I store all these pictures and graphics? Well, I like to use google docs and Dropbox to also keep information and pictures in an organized place to I don’t spend hours looking. Dropbox I pay $9.99 a month but you can have similar functionality for free using google docs/drive but I believe you just need to have a Gmail address. Both or either are totally worth it.
I also LOVE Boomerang. It is plug in for Gmail. It is only 4.99 and allows you to schedule emails. When someone purchases I will schedule a thank you, you should receive your order soon, a 2 week making sure everything came ok and also an email about reordering/joining my VIP group/application help. That way most of my follow up is done and I can still follow up via text, hone or Facebook but if life gets crazy at least they are going to get something from me!
The two things I couldn’t get by without that allow me to have sanity, keep it together, act like I am a leader and consultant that has it all together are Cinchshare and Trello!
Cinchshare is a site that allows me to schedule posts in groups, events, my personal page, my business page and anywhere on Facebook. It is AMAZING. It is the one thing that allows me to work my business without having to be connected 24/7. I can schedule my Facebook parties, my team trainings and anything I need to. It is amazing for me to keep my life from always being attached. I am a certified freedom junkie and this is one of the tools that allows me to do business on my terms. One of the best things is that if you doing trainings, education, or the same posts over and over you can bulk post from Cinchshare. EX: I do the same new consultant training and fast start training monthly for my team and I can schedule with just a click of the mouse and bulk post the whole training. This allows me to be away from my computer and check in from my phone. This allows me to pre plan my business for the month and especially when I am on vacation or taking time with Brandon. It is normally $9.99 a month but you can test is out here for 7 days and if you use CSfree you will get an extra 30 days for free! This by far allows me to pre plan and sure does it take time to sit down and plan absolutely. However, it allows me to work during my business hours and plan for those things that fall outside of those hours.
Trello is something that I wish I would have had and known about from the beginning. I mostly use it on the computer but there is an app as well. There are limited capabilities on the app but it allows me to access contact information which for me is how I use it. The program is amazing. It works so well with my brain and the best part is its free! There is an upgraded version but the free one works great too. It is like a bunch of bulletin boards and post-it notes but electronically. It allows me to keep track of my pipelines, leads, customers and where they are in the buying and follow up cycle, hostesses and hostess coaching and then also allows me to content plan for my blog and social media. There are a TON of great videos on Pinterest and YouTube on how to utilize this program for your business. I love it because I can set up checklists, color code things that I want to filter out later and allow me to be able to move people through my different sales funnels in a visual manner. If you don’t have Trello or haven’t heard of it you can sign up here. I strongly recommend this if you don’t like your company’s CRM too or maybe they don’t provide one. There is also functionality that you can set notifications and also follow up times and programs to help you migrate your customer data into Trello as well. It’s one of the better free CRMs I have tried to use if my business!
I know there are a crazy amount of apps and websites out there so use ones that work within your budget and also for your needs. Don’t forget sometimes it’s worth the $4-$10 a month if it helps you to earn more or spend less time on a project. Don’t forget what your time is worth! It’s the only thing you can’t make more of!
