So this month we have talked about our why and vision when starting and restarting and also why business hours are important. Step 3 in the freebie this month was reflecting and recognizing your fears and concerns.
Am I crazy? Why on earth would you want someone new or relaunching to do this? Well I am a little crazy but there are some good reasons this is important. If you have done direct sales before and you feel like you failed, all of those reasons, feelings are going to resurface and will sometimes prohibit success. It’s better to sometimes just get out what is freaking us out, so we can recognize when it starts to look like self-sabotage. I hate to say we need to know this because we aren’t a superhero, invincible and everyone at some point has hang-ups.
I even have fears and concerns. We all do. It makes you human and it’s easier for our brains to go to the negative and the fear then the positive sometimes. Most fears are just things that because of experiences we have created to believe as true. They are false evidence appearing real. The common one I hear all the time from my new recruits is, the word no it what they are scared of. SO MANY are fearful of the word NO but more so rejection. That is something important to know, understand and as a sponsor to know so that you can help yourself or new teammate push through. This business is not for the faint at heart or softy. You have to have or be willing to grow thick skin and learn that they aren’t saying no to you. People are saying no to your product, company or service.
Fears are something that will never go away. As your business blossoms and grows, your fears will shift. What might have been a concern or fear when you started may not be the same as what they become. That’s ok as long as you are recognizing them and pushing through. I heard somewhere that fear is your way of telling you, that’s the direction you should be heading because deep down you know you can do it. We have just subconsciously taken on those crazy beliefs and stories from people and our environment that say we can’t.
Start saying you can, never be afraid of NO and walk towards your fear. You never know what you might find!
After thinking about your fears and concerns when launching, share them with an upline, sideline or sponsor. This helps people see when you might not be giving your all because you let fear stop you.
